Dr. Biggin is a Professor of Palaeomagnetism and teaches geophysics at the University of Liverpool in the U.K., heading up the Geomagnetism Laboratory. Before taking on his academic position in 2014, he was a NERC Advanced Fellow at Liverpool for five years. He also held research positions at Utrecht University, Universite Montpellier II, UNAM (Mexico) and Kingston University.
His research focuses on describing and understanding the behavior of Earth's magnetic field as recorded in rocks and archaeological materials.
