Dr. Jan Łyczakowski is a researcher in the Department of Plant Biotechnology of the Faculty of Biochemistry, Biophysics and Biotechnology of the Jagiellonian University. Łyczakowski's research interests include the biochemistry and molecular architecture of wood; the biosynthesis of primary and secondary cell wall polysaccharides in trees; the impact of environmental signals on the process of wood biosynthesis; the use of cell wall polysaccharides for the manufacturing of biodegradable plastics and the use of lignocellulosic biomass in industrial processes.
