Paul Kay

Paul Kay is an associate professor in Water Quality at the University of Leeds in the United Kingdom. Paul’s research investigates the impacts of human activity on water quality and focuses on the occurrence, fate and effects of emerging contaminants such as microplastics and pharmaceuticals. Paul’s work has also covered more traditional pollutants such as nutrients in agricultural catchments and has undertaken a number of projects looking at catchment sensitive farming. Paul has also studied the impacts of dams on water quality and biology and, in the uplands, the effects of moorland management.
