In our Garmin Fenix 6X Pro Solar review, we gave this smartwatch 4.5 out of 5 stars (even at full price) for a number of reasons. It's extremely durable, even if you drop it or hit it against something. In bright conditions, we loved how the data on the screen was incredibly legible.
When Garmin debuts new software features, they come to the Fenix range first. You'll be among the first to try out any new functionality. It's really handy that you can playback Spotify while offline, and there are tons of workout types to choose from, ranging from cycling to swimming to yoga to parachuting. At 21 days on standby, the battery life is exceptional too.
If this deal isn't for you, check out our round-up of the best Garmin watches, and as always, we'll monitor and post worthwhile deals on the best running watches.

Buy it if: When Garmin debuts its new software features, they arrive in the Fenix range first. With the Garmin Fenix 6X Pro Solar, you'll be among the first to test them. Trackable workouts range from running to kayaking to bouldering (trust us, there are many). We particularly liked the 'Body Battery' feature, which monitors the variance in your heart rhythms over the day and tells you how much energy you've got left.
Don't buy it if: You're not willing to learn where everything is and how everything works with a fitness tracker — the Garmin Fenix 6X Pro Solar requires some time investment to get to grips with it to maximize the functionality. The frame is bulky and heavy because it's made from metal, and the solar-charging technology may be ineffective depending on the weather conditions.
